STORYLINE:
Monty, a giant schnauzer, won the top prize at the Westminster dog show.
He beat six other finalists Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden.
The award was the most prestigious in the U.S. dog show world.
Judges scored each dog on how well it matched its breed’s ideal.
Monty took home a trophy, ribbons, and bragging rights.
He was celebrated with photo opportunities at the Empire State Building and a steak dinner at an uptown restaurant.
