"Listen, first off, a lot of people are like, tell me about the set. If I could, I would invite the entire audience to our apartment and have the show in our apartment. I love the idea of timelessness. I like modernism, but not minimalism because I love beautiful textures. I like opulence, simplicity. So our store, Madison Avenue, feels like my apartment. The venue today sort of feels like our apartment. It does have that warm modernism. And the show is really it’s about the idea of ease of which we Americans invented it. The world dresses this way, but I like is that has glamor. And I think the French actually have the best word for it, which is their cachet. You know, the idea of something that feels throwaway. And, you know, when I looked at images, whether it was Lauren Hutton back in the 70s or Zoe Kravitz on the street today, there’s this relaxed ease to how they look that I think is modern. And it’s also about layering things in a very cool way. So it could be the softest filmy silk dress, but grab your husband’s coat or his jacket and throw it on. Feels like a cardigan. It’s about stride. I love big city dressing. It doesn’t matter if it’s L.A., New York, Singapore. I like when clothes move. When you walk. That’s what, sexy. Not being naked. So no naked dresses here today. It’s all about sensuality."
