STORYLINE:
At least 20 people were injured, 10 critically, after a fire destroyed a clothing factory in the north of Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday.
The factory is one of the most used by samba schools in the lower divisions.
Firefighters managed to rescue workers that were stuck in the top floor by cutting the steel windows and placing a ladder for the group to exit.
Wesley da Cruz, one of the rescued workers said that the fire started on the ground floor while they were sleeping.
By noon around 90 firefighters had controlled the fire but did not exclude the risk of the building collapsing.
