After all the sights you saw, after all the testimonies you heard from the survivors of captivity, how do you allow this situation to continue, how can it be that the Cabinet did not meet yesterday to advance the return of all the hostages next in line? What are you waiting for, for God’s sake"?

STORYLINE:
A Hamas spokesperson said on Monday the group will delay the next planned release of hostages in the Gaza Strip after accusing Israel of violating the ceasefire agreement.
The announcement was the first major crisis for the fragile ceasefire.
It came at a sensitive time, with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu under heavy pressure to bring home hostages after last Saturday’s release, in which three Israelis came home emaciated after 16 months in Hamas captivity.
Families of remaining hostages called on mediating countries to restore the existing deal.
The mother of a remaining hostage, Idit Ohel, said the newly released men said her son, Alon, and others has been chained for over a year and urged US President Donald Trump and the Israeli government to make a deal to release all the remaining hostages.
She spoke at an event for Alon’s 24th birthday at hostage square.
The head of the health team at the Hostages Families Forum, Dr. Hagai Levine, said the hostages were in "a clear and present danger".
"We have to do whatever it takes to get them out of hell and back to life as quickly as possible," he said.
Israel and Hamas are in the midst of a six-week ceasefire during which Hamas has committed to releasing 33 hostages captured in its Oct. 7, 2023, attack in exchange for nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners.
The sides have carried out five swaps since the ceasefire went into effect last month, freeing 21 hostages and over 730 Palestinian prisoners.
