“Destroyed. But I feel like this is just like a moment for us to realize that, you know, anything can happen. And this is just our beginning ark. We are capable of so much more. And yes, the Chiefs flopped today, but maybe they’re just, you know, walking so that the team in the future can run.”

STORYLINE:
The Kansas City Chiefs were unsuccessful in completing a three-peat after losing to the Philadelphia Eagles 22-40 in Super Bowl LIX.
Thousands of Chiefs fans packed Kansas City Live! Block to watch the game, but by the third quarter the crowd started to dwindle.
“Everybody is going to be like, oh the Eagles ended the dynasty. No. No, they didn’t,” Chiefs fan Jarod Adams said. “They won a game. They won. They won this football game. It’s not like the Chiefs are going to go away now.”
“We came all the way from Colorado to watch the Super Bowl in Kansas City,” Hana Sunrise who came to the watch party with Adama said. “It was a shutout. It was, it was a loss a hundred percent. I’m bummed.”
While a Super Bowl loss hurts for the fans, for some it is a reality check that the team isn’t invincible.
“The Chiefs are the team to beat and sadly today we lost. But we’re not perfect. We’re human and the Chiefs are going to do better next time,” Chiefs fan Andy Mangandi said.
As they were leaving the party, some Chiefs fans still remain optimistic that the team will bounce back next season.
