7. SOUNDBITE (Hebrew) Michael Levy, brother of released hostage:
“Yesterday, after a year and four months, I saw again, my brother, Or. I hugged him but it was not the same Or that left the house on October 7, 2023. Or returned to us in a poor physical condition. Whoever saw the images and videos could not ignore it. For 16 months, he was barefoot, hungry and in constant fear that every day was his last.”

STORYLINE:
The brothers of two of the Israeli hostages released by Hamas militants this weekend have called on their country’s leaders to secure the freedom of the remaining hostages "with the needed urgency."
Three gaunt-looking hostages were freed on Saturday: civilians Eli Sharabi, 52; Or Levy, 34, and Ohad Ben Ami, 56.
Speaking on Sunday, Sharabi’s brother said his brother’s condition upon his release should act like a "most urgent testament" to bring back the remaining hostages "immediately."
Levy’s brother claimed that “decision makers knew” of his condition “and did not do enough to bring him back with the needed urgency.”
The hostages’ condition and scenes of Hamas forcing them to speak during the handover ceremony have sparked outrage in Israel and could increase pressure on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to extend the ceasefire beyond its current six-week phase.
The three hostages were among about 250 people taken during the Hamas-led attack on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023.
Sharabi was captured from Kibbutz Beeri, one of the farming communities hardest hit by the Hamas attack.
Sharabi’s wife and two teenage daughters were killed, and his brother Yossi died in captivity.
Levy was taken from the Nova music festival and was unaware that his wife, Einav, had been killed in the assault.
“For 491 days he didn’t know she is gone. He only found out yesterday,“ his brother said on Sunday.
