US warns Europe against “significant AI regulation, warning industry could be killed | DW News

US Vice President JD Vance has warned world leaders against "significant regulation" of
artificial intelligence during a speech at the AI conference in Paris, saying it could "kill a transformative industry" just as it is taking off. He said that the US will not only foster growth of AI technology, but also find ways to prevent adversaries from being able to use it to surveil and threaten people. His speech goes against the calls from EU leaders for more regulation on AI.
