STORYLINE:
Five recently released Israeli hostages attended a musical concert on Tuesday while receiving medical treatment at Beilinson hospital in central Israel.

The concert was conducted by Israeli composer Michael Wolpe, featuring the songs “Lu Yehi”, “Kanfei Ruach," and "Hallelujah".

The five Israeli soldiers, Karina Ariev, 20; Daniella Gilboa, 20; Naama Levy, 20; Liri Albag, 19; and Agam Berger, 20 were taken from Nahal Oz base near the border with Gaza when Palestinian militants overran it, killing more than 60 soldiers.

The six-week first phase of the truce, started on January 19th, calls for the release of 33 hostages and nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners, as well as the return of Palestinians to northern Gaza and an increase in humanitarian aid to the devastated territory.

Israel and Hamas are beginning to negotiate a second phase of the ceasefire, which calls for releasing the remaining hostages and extending the truce indefinitely.

The war could resume in early March if an agreement is not reached.

Some 250 people were taken hostage during Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack.

Around 80 remain in Gaza, although at least a third are believed to be dead.

The others were released, rescued, or their bodies were recovered.

Israel’s military campaign has killed over 47,000 Palestinians, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry, which does not say how many were fighters but says more than half were women or children.
