“We have brought this here to Rimac (District of Rimac, where the bullring, Acho, is located), so people also feel what it is like to be there, in those Pamplonadas in Spain, the running of the bulls. The novillos run here; the runners have fun, they feel that adrenaline, having the fierce bull close by, it is very exciting."

STORYLINE:
The third Pamplonada Rimense was held in Lima, in the district of Rímac, on Sunday giving participants a taste of the running of the bulls of Spain’s Pamplona.
The event started at Lima’s Acho bullring, which has 259 years of history since its inauguration in 1766.
Great bullfighting figures of all times have performed in its bullring.
The adrenaline was high in the streets surrounding the bullring, where fans run in front of the steers as they do in the San Fermín festival in Pamplona.
“We have brought this here to Rímac (where the bullring Acho is located), so people also feel what it is like to be there, in those Pamplonadas in Spain," said Lucho Cáceres, Director of Publicity.
"The runners have fun, they feel that adrenaline, having the fierce bull close by, it is very exciting," he said.
Inside the ring, dozens of people, mostly men, weave in and out if front of the bull, with some barely missing its charging horns.
The event left three participants slightly injured after they where charged by one of the bulls.
Bullfighting is a popular tradition in Peru, especially during the Señor de los Milagros festival that takes place annually in the Plaza de Toros de Acho, in Lima.
It is a tribute to the Lord of Miracles, patron saint of Peru and Lima, and is held between October and December.
