1. SOUNDBITE (English) Kristi Noem, Secretary of Homeland Security:
"Recently we did suffer a terror attack in this city and it changed not just the families that were tragically and horrifically lost their loved ones, but also the city, the state and the whole entirety of our country. We recognize the importance of making sure that we’re doing due diligence and being prepared for events as proactive as possible and pre-deploying resources and partnerships that will help us make sure that these events come off safely and with a focus on security."

2. SOUNDBITE (English) Kristi Noem, Secretary of Homeland Security:
"The world is a much more dangerous place but here in the homeland we are safe and I will tell you that right now we have no specific, credible threats to this event at the Super bowl which I think should give us all a sense of security but also knowing that we will adjust that as needed."

STORYLINE:
While New Orleans is preparing to host Super Bowl 59 in less than one week, concerns about security still linger following the deadly attack on New Years Day.
Homeland security officials held a press conference today to warn of potential terror threats that could arise during an international event such as the Super Bowl.
U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem spoke at the press conference and says, "there are no credible threats that we have that are on the radar for this event that is coming up on Sunday."
Officials continue to re-iterate "say something, see something" which means notifying police about large items, like back packs and ice chests left unmonitored.
