"If someone’s looking today at a collection like this, they would be drawn to some element or other from the ’60s or the ’80s. So I think it does really appeal to the contemporary woman who’s looking at one thing of his that is absolutely great, that she considers something that she should wear now."

"I think Saint Laurent was just a master of colour. He had these books of samples, and one book will be sort of a black book, and it will be filled with hundreds of little pieces of black fabric, and you can tell there’s such nuance of tone. So I think his colour sense is just fantastic, and we have attempted to do that with this show."
