Towana Looney has now lived longer than any person with a kidney from a pig. Looney’s body produces antibodies that would reject most human kidneys. Before the pig transplant, she had to spend four hours a day hooked up to a dialysis machine that cleaned her blood. Her transplant doctor Jeffrey Stern says she didn’t have much of a choice. Inside Edition’s Steven Fabian has more.
