"I don’t like many things went through my head immediately when I found out, the tears came quickly. But I was also on my own. And then the flight attendant came over and realized I was crying and then bought a box of tissues. Many things were happening. I think I was really overwhelmed by it happening because I you just don’t know how much it means until it happens. And it happening was like i moved me a lot. I was really, really overwhelmed. Yeah."

"In my house without power in northern Malibu and watching a phone with one bar of cell data on it, hoping the broadcast didn’t drop out."
