STORYLINE:
Two giant pandas, Bao Li and Qing Bao, made their debut to the public at the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington, Friday, Jan. 24.

"It is a great delight to come to the district of panda and witness the debut of Bao Li and Qing Bao together with all of you," Chinese Ambassador said during a public ceremony. "Washington, D.C., is no longer unbearable. And I believe all of you can barely wait to see them."

"It’s very exciting. I’m happy pandas are back in D.C.," said Arlington, Virginia resident Tania Griffin, who took the day off from work to see the pandas. "It’s making me, honestly, it’s bringing back some, like, child’s joy. So it’s it’s very exciting. My inner child is coming out."
