STORYLINE:
Egypt’s foreign minister received his British counterpart Thursday in Cairo as the Egyptian-British Participation Council convened.
Badr Abdelatty and David Lammy discussed bilateral relations as well as the latest regional developments.
The meeting comes at a sensitive time in the region, as a fragile ceasefire holds in the Gaza Strip.
Israel has launched a major military operation in the occupied West Bank, and suspected Jewish settlers have rampaged through two Palestinian towns.
