STORYLINE:
Desperately needed aid continued to pour into Gaza on Tuesday morning following Sunday’s ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
Trucks streamed across the border from Egypt into the southern city of Rafah.
Under the ceasefire agreement hundreds of trucks can enter Gaza a day.
Some 90% of Gaza’s population has been displaced. Its cities are in ruins and its people suffering from malnutrition after 15 months of Israeli bombardment.
Following the ceasefire, some families set off for home on foot, their belongings loaded on donkey carts.
In Rafah, residents returned to find massive destruction that they described as a dystopia.
Some found human remains in the rubble.
