North Carolina Hurricane Helene Victims Feel ‘Abandoned’

Fifty families displaced by Hurricane Helene are living in RVs and trailers in an encampment in North Carolina. Now, winter storms and freezing temperatures gripping the south are making life intolerable for them. Deedee Buckner is sleeping in a donated camper outside the ruins of her house. She is hoping that will change following President Trump and First Lady Melania’s visit to the storm-ravaged state. A GoFundMe page was created for the Haywood County RV community https://bit.ly/4gbQxzU.
