Moldova’s prime minister accuses Russia of causing a humanitarian crisis in the breakaway state of Transnistria. The territory is internationally recognized as part of Moldova, but Russia has long stationed troops in the narrow strip of land that borders Ukraine. In this interview with DW Editor-in-Chief, Manuela Kasper-Claridge, Moldovan PM Dorin Recean explains how Russia is attempting to put a wedge between Transnistria and the Moldovan government, at the cost of the people living there.
