Belarus elections expected to extend Lukashenko’s 31-year reign | DW News

Belarus is holding elections this weekend, which are expected to deliver a seventh term in power to President Alexander Lukaschenko. He has already ruled the eastern European country for 31 years. The opposition has called the vote a farce, while the European Parliament is warning of a sham election. Some are continuing their activism from abroad — like from neighboring Poland. DW correspondent Sergei Satanovskii reports from the Polish capital Warsaw.
