President Trump signs first round of executive orders, withdraws from Paris agreement | DW News

Donald Trump is once again president of the United States. He took the oath of office and began his second term as the 47th president of the United States, promising what he called a ‘new golden age for America.’ At a rally of his supporters packed inside a Washington DC stadium, Trump wasted no time and began signing a series of executive orders. One of the first was to withdraw the United States from the Paris climate treaty.

For some analysis of Trump’s first moves in office and their implications we spoke to DW correspondent Max Zander in Washington D.C., Brian Murray, Director of the Nicholas Institute for Energy, Environment & Sustainability at Duke University, and Ethan Bearman, an attorney and adjunct professor at Loyola Law School Los Angeles.
