FDA Bans Red Color Additive Used in Food and Medicine

It’s good news for parents of young children. The Food and Drug Administration has announced that certain dyes found in some food and medicines will be banned from being added to products in the U.S. Red Dye No. 3 must be removed by January 2027 from food and January 2028 from medicines, according to the announcement.
