Pete Hegseth pushed back against Sen. Tim Kaine’s question over whether violence against a spouse would disqualify a candidate as defense secretary pick.
Hegseth called the question a "hypothetical" but did not answer.
"I don’t think it’s a hypothetical," Kaine said. "Violence against spouses occurs every day."
