Indonesian police announced Thursday they have arrested an American citizen who they say is wanted by US authorities.
The 43-year-old man, known by his initials "TJC", arrived in Jakarta from Malaysia on December 4.
He has six active crime warrants from the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa for the crime of sexual exploitation of children, said Yuldi Yusman, Director of Immigration Supervision and Enforcement of Indonesia’s Ministry of Immigration and Correction.
The US Embassy in Jakarta issued a notice of passport revocation on December 18, before he was finally arrested on December 30, when applying for a residence permit at the Tangerang immigration office in Indonesia’s Banten province.
