“We have the app and the device connects to the app, and you can see your ear canal and you use it to clean your ear canal. And we also have the new product, we are launching at CES (Consumer Electronics Show), this one is for the swimmer’s ear. And this is water washing OTC (Optical coherence tomography) camera ear cleaner. So, basically, you just clean your ear by looking at our app, the camera app. You can see what’s inside. So why you clear it and you can see it. So, that’s why our tagline is called Ear-care, you can see. Q-tips, first of all, you couldn’t see your ear canal, right. You don’t know what happened there. If you use Q-Tip, it puts things in, puts the dirt in, but this one pulls the dirt out. So you don’t know what the Q-Tip are doing the work. And you don’t know how it’s cleaned, it’s already cleaned them out. And when you look at it, you don’t know, sometimes Q-Tip you put it in, it’s not healthy. But when you use this, when you put your dirt out, but you can see how you put that out. That’s amazing, you can see inside.”

STORYLINE:
It looks like headphones for listening to music or a favourite podcast, but this device is designed with the health of your ears in mind.
The over-the-ear cleaner uses small cameras and sensors to show users the inside of their ear canal via a smartphone app.
That’s why, Chief Marketing Officer Helen Wang jokes, the tagline of their newest product is "ear care you can see."
"We have the app and the device connects to the app, and you can see your ear canal and you use it to clean your ear canal. And we also have the new product, we are launching at CES, this one is for the swimmer’s ear. And this is water washing OTC camera ear cleaner", Wang explains.
Wang says Bebird’s products are available online and currently ship only to customers in the U.S.
“Basically, you just clean your ear by looking at our app, the camera app. You can see what’s inside,” she says.
And Wang claims app ear cleaning can be preferential to using Q-Tip cotton buds or other similar products.
“Q-tips, first of all, you couldn’t see your ear canal, right. You don’t know what happened there. If you use Q-Tip, it puts things in, puts the dirt in, but this one puts the dirt out,” she adds.
CES, the annual trade show of all-things tech, opens on Tuesday, January 7th, following two days of media previews.
Formerly known as the Consumer Electronics Show, CES brings attendees and exhibitors from around the world.
CES 2024 saw more than 138,000 attendees, organizers the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) expect see at least that amount again for this year’s show.
Over 4,500 exhibitors, including 1,400 startups, are anticipated across 2.5 million square feet of floor space.
Big-name companies set to make appearances this year include Nvidia, Sony, Samsung, LG and L’Oréal.
