"The Moroccan Caftan is a traditional official costume of Morocco, characterized by its variety of shapes, worn by men, women and children as well, there is the Djellaba, the Qamis, the Gandoura, and also the Caftan that consists of one piece and the Takchita that consists of two pieces and let’s not forget the bride’s Caftan that consists of three or four pieces."

"In the Marinid era, the Saadi era and the Alaouite era, the Moroccan Caftan developed as it was renewed and they used new types of fabrics such as silk since the nineteenth century, which was worn by women because it was forbidden for men who used especially the Mlifa and Mobra fabric, and from the end of the nineteenth century until today, especially in the Alaouite era, the Caftan began to be specialized for women more than men, and until the second half of the twentieth century, men no longer wore it at all."

"We start by purchasing the fabric, we choose the types that are in fashion and according to the season, then there is the tailoring stage, the tailoring is chosen according to the customer’s request, then we choose whether the Skalli (Moroccan embroidery thread) or Silk threads, Skalli type, we also choose the shape of the Sfifa (Moroccan Kardoune), after determining the materials that will be used in the Caftan, we move to the stage of choosing the rhinestones and the type of embroidery, and then we collect and sew the pieces that make up the Caftan."

"The Moroccan caftan is always evolving and since the demand for it is large and high, the traditional Moroccan craftsman always tries to innovate and create new shapes and types, and this is what made us introduce modernity to the Caftan, but the traditional character always remains, especially in the Sfifa, Skalli and hand embroidery, and this is what makes it maintain the Moroccan character."
