STORYLINE:
Johannesburg’s skyline was illuminated by thousands of fireworks as South Africans greeted 2025.
The centrepiece of the show in the city was the Hillbrow Tower which was illuminated to ring in the new year.
Many South Africans welcomed in the new year by setting off their own fireworks.
