STORYLINE:
People in Karachi bid farewell to 2024 with mixed emotions and expressed hope for 2025 to be better for them.
They celebrated the New Year by gathering at various spots in the city, lighting fireworks, singing and dancing, and greeting each other.
Youngsters expressed wishes for a better future.
“There were a lot of problems in 2024, political and otherwise,” said Shah Fahad, a student. “We expect our leaders to bring peace to Pakistan in 2025. We pray that Allah bestow us with His blessings in this year."
Another Karachi resident, Hajrah Khan, said 2024 was a very good year with some problems but hoped 2025 would be better.
“May God bless us all in this year,” she prayed.
