Seacrest: "To get ready for the big show. We run through it, we rehearse it. She’s got to perform and host, so she’s got a lot on her mind. But we just we check all the communications, the technology, make sure all the performers are here, give them a rehearsal, and then it’s go time."
Ora: "Exactly. And I think we do it enough times where we feel like we’re comfortable. I mean, obviously, this is my second time doing it, so I’m really excited. But everything the team, the crew, they they know what they’re doing."

Seacrest: "We have over 60 songs being performed by different artists from all over the world, will be in London, will be in Puerto Rico with Luis Fonsi and Dayanara Torres – we will be in Las Vegas with Lenny Kravitz. We have TLC here. Rita is here. Jonas Brothers here in Times Square. Carrie Underwood here in Times Square. The list goes on and on. So if you like music and you, like, be entertained. Tune in to ABC."

Ora: "For me being, I would say more like a newbie, I would say it’s just electric. Everyone is just so excited. I mean, you have people kind of being there since the morning. They don’t leave. Everyone is just so happy to be there. And yeah, I just feel like it’s just chaos. But at the same time, it’s just amazing."
Seacrest: "There’s calmness and then there’s a lot of excitement. I mean, they get here very early, so they’re pretty chill about 4:00 in the afternoon. A lot of them sit down on their blankets and they take a little bit of a break off their feet. Then you can feel it all amped up. And once we’re getting into eight, nine, 10:00, the excitement is crazy."

Seacrest: "Before I hosted the show, I co-hosted it with Dick Clark, who did it for decades here in Times Square. He was an institution and he was known as Mr. New Years. I mean, you would I would watch him as a kid. And so he made everybody feel comfortable. He always said to me, you know, this show is about bringing the party into people’s living rooms. Those people who aren’t going anywhere and are very smart, who are not going into the crowds, you know, they’re not going to do it. They’re going to in their pajamas watching the show. Let’s let them feel like they’re part of the action. And that’s the legacy we try and continue."

STORYLINE:
Ryan Seacrest and Rita Ora promise this year’s ‘Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin Eve’ will have something for everyone.
Seacrest – who has been hosting the annual New Year’s celebration for 20 years now – will be joined for a second time by actress and singer Rita Ora.
"Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin Eve" airs Tuesday night on ABC.
