"It is a very safe poison because in those ten to twelve hours, it is usually metabolised in the body, thus it is broken down as the bird is dying. So by the time it dies, the poison is usually is out of the body, so the carcass is poison free which means that there is no risk of secondary poisoning."

"We have seen them feeding on small crustaceans. This is an abnormal behaviour for the crows because these are not sea birds or water birds. So with that we need to control them because if they infiltrate this part of the ecosystem then they will introduce the effects also on that side."
