Sarah McBride is making history yet again as the first openly transgender congresswoman-elect in the US. The Democrat first made history as the US’ first openly transgender state senator of Delaware.
In an interview with DW’s Washington Bureau Chief Ines Pohl, she talks about the American Dream and as pillars of that dream, she prioritizes bringing down the cost of housing, child care and health care. She expects serious Republicans to collaborate with Democrats to ensure the federal government progresses and "work across disagreement."
