Syrians in neighboring Lebanon hopeful to return home despite uncertainty ahead | DW News

The fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime marks a historic day for Syrians living abroad. Many Syrians living in Lebanon have expressed cautious optimism that the end of the Assad family’s more than 50-year rule will make way for a better chapter. In the meantime, Lebanon has sent army reinforcements to its border with Syria. DW’s Mohamad Chreyteh travelled to the Lebanese-Syrian border and asked Syrian refugees about their hopes and concerns for the future.
