STORYLINE:
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Board (EB) convened on Tuesday at the start of a three-day meeting in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Following the success of this year’s Olympics in Paris, IOC President Thomas Bach opened proceedings by announcing that "there are still lessons to learn" and ‘challenges" in the Olympic organisation.
Tuesday’s agenda will include updates on the activities of the Olympic Movement and the IOC commissions around the world.
The next Summer Games will be held in Los Angeles in 2028, while the Winter Games will take place in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, in 2026.
