"What happened was that the injuries occurred because of the Israeli bombing of a car of a group of young men, where three injuries occurred. Two of them were pronounced martyred (dead) upon arrival. The third case was in need of a larger health centre. First aid was done and the patient was transferred to another hospital."

"Their questions were about who brought the injured people. They asked about the injured person. ‘Where is he?’ They thought he was inside the hospital and at the end they wanted us to hand them the bodies of the martyrs. I reached out to the hospital manager, who refused to hand them the bodies. The (Israeli) officer asked the hospital manager to come, and we were released upon his arrival."

STORYLINE:
Scores of mourners gathered on Tuesday for the funerals of two Palestinians killed in an Israeli airstrike on the town of Al-Aqaba in the West Bank.
Meanwhile, a doctor who treated some of those injured in the strike told the Associated Press that Israeli soldiers entered the hospital trying to seize the bodies of suspected dead militants.
He said they detained medics and opened fire inside the hospital.
"(The army) entered in a brutal way, and they were shooting inside the emergency department. They handcuffed us and took me and my colleague, the specialist doctor," said Mahmoud Ghanam, an emergency room doctor at the Turkish Hospital complex in Tuba.
"They wanted us to hand them the bodies of the martyrs," he added.
The Israeli military confirmed that its soldiers were operating around the hospital searching for those targeted in the airstrikes, which they said had hit a militant cell near the Palestinian town of Al-Aqaba in the Jordan Valley.
It denied that soldiers had entered the hospital building or fired gunshots inside.
