STORYLINE:
Chile’s year-end parade was celebrated on Sunday as families welcomed December.
Thousands gathered along the parade route in Chile’s capital Santiago to marvel at the giant, helium-filled character balloons, dancers and performers.
This year, the giant inflatables, were inspired by characters from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars.
Among the parade balloons included Mickey Mouse, Simba, Spider-Man, Buzz Lightyear and R2-D2 from Star Wars.
The parade ran approximately 3 kilometers, from Salvador Avenue to La Moneda, in front of the presidential palace, with a magical show of color and family entertainment.
