Syrian rebel forces have taken control of the city of Hama, marking the latest advance in a week-long offensive against Syrian government forces. Hama is a strategically important city in the northwestern part of Syria, about 140 kilometers from the country’s second-largest city Aleppo, which rebel forces took control of last week.
