"We are talking about a promising season. The Ministry of Agriculture’s figures indicate that there are more than 175,000 tons of olives that arrived at the presses. Our expectations are between 26,000 and 30,000 tons of olive oil. These numbers are actually more than we need. We need 24,000 to 25,000 tons annually, so there is a surplus of 4,000 to 5,000 tons, according to our expectations."

The farmer spends money on the farm and pays the cost of production at the olive oil press, the cost of plowing the land, fertilizer, harvesting, transportation, press fees and marketing fees. Therefore, a very wide group of people in Jordan benefit from the olive season."
