UK parliament debates bill that would allow assisted suicide for terminally ill people | DW News

As the debate is getting underway demonstrators opposing the idea of assisted dying have gathered outside the parliament in London. The suggested bill would allow adults who are terminally ill to be assisted to end their own life. A change in the law has been long fought for by advocates. DW’s Birgit Maass met with some of them.

For more on this, we cross over to London where Birgit Maass is standing by. She’s been following today’s debate from outside the House of Commons.
