US President-elect Donald Trump has announced plans to impose 25% tariffs on all imports from Mexico and Canada when he returns to the White House in January.
Trump blames America’s near neigbours for doing too little to prevent the flow of migrants and drugs into the US. Trump has threatened to hit Chinese goods with a 10 percent tariff on TOP of existing levies. He campaigned on the use of tariffs to boost US industries, but economists have warned that American consumers would end up paying the price.
