STORYLINE:
Victims of Israeli strikes in Khan Younis were taken to a hospital Wednesday, with children among those killed.
At Nasser Hospital, relatives and locals mourned the dead and injured. "They are completely annihilating us. What is our fault? What have we committed in this life?” said Muhammad Radwan.
The strike killed Areej al Qadi’s three children, aged between four and seven. The distraught mother explained they had been playing near the tents when the Israeli strike hit. The boys were killed instantly, while the girl was badly injured and died later in hospital.
"Who will call me mama now?" al Qadi wailed as she accompanied the stretcher holding the remains of her small sons to Nasser Hospital.
Israeli strikes killed 15 people Wednesday afternoon, including five children and three women, according to an Associated Press journalist who counted the bodies.
The Gaza Health Ministry said earlier on Wednesday that 43,985 Palestinians were killed, and 104,092 others were injured since the war began on Oct. 7, 2023.
