Jake Haendel from Boston warns against drugs after it left him with severe brain damage. In 2017, he was diagnosed with acute toxic progressive leukoencephalopathy and given months to live. Jake eventually fell into what doctors thought was a coma. He was actually experiencing locked-in syndrome, where was aware of everything around him, but couldn’t move or communicate. He hopes his story will help others. "I get it, it’s hard. Seek help," he told Inside Edition Digital’s Andrea Swindall.
