A young man is about to see his new face. Ten years ago, Derek Pfaff was depressed when he put a shotgun to his head and pulled the trigger. Somehow, he survived but was left with devastating injuries. When a call came in stating that there was a donor for his face transplant, Pfaff and his mother drove to the renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. A team of 80 medical personnel gathered for his 50-hour surgery. Inside Edition’s Lisa Guerrero has his inspiring story. A GoFundMe page was set up to help Derek Pfaff on his road to recovery https://bit.ly/495xoxE.
