"We’re gathered today to show we disapprove of this gala and the fact that it wasn’t banned ahead of time. This is a gala dinner attended by far-right figures who incite racial hatred and have made genocidal comments about starving a whole population and we find it very unfortunate that there wasn’t a ban enforced ahead of time."
3. Various of demonstration in streets of Paris
4. SOUNDBITE (French) Imen Habib, spokesperson for BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) France:
"FIFA and UEFA have both taken a number of measures against Russia but there’s this double standard here when it comes to Israel. It’s intolerable. We demand that sanctions be imposed against the Israeli regime of apartheid. They shouldn’t parade (their football players) while the Israeli government wages a genocidal war in the Gaza Strip. We can’t turn a blind eye on this reality."

11. SOUNDBITE (English) Albert Herszkowicz, spokesperson for RAAR (Network of action against anti-semitism and racism):

We are strongly opposed against the politics of (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu in Gaza and Lebanon, strongly opposed, but altogether we fight anti-semitism so it’s a bit difficult."

14. SOUNDBITE (English) Lorenzo Aleschi, President of Golem, leftist group against anti-semitism:
"In fact, historically, most of the Jewish community is for a two-state solution so these discourses of a big, a large Israel (Greater Israel) is quite recent and we are fighting this also in the French-Jewish community by saying that we can support Israel without denying the Palestinians the right to have a state and without supporting the mass killing of Palestinians."
15. Wide of demonstrations
