“There were people who grew up with my works in real-time. Those from the 70s, I think, will appreciate my animation. The games are for the next generation. As for the art, which can include some of it, it can be recognized by two or three generations. For instance, I was surprised to learn some Italians knew about ‘The Genie Family’, which I was working on when I was still in my teens. In other words, it was such a pleasant surprise through this exhibition to discover some Italian people remember the works that I had even forgotten about."

“When you work with animation, you get used to those things. As a result, you end up in a loop of repetition, and so I wanted to do something new: illustration, art, as well as games. Personally, I am only working on whatever is in front of me. Others might see the link running through it. I myself thought I had left things behind (and moved on), but there is a connection apparently which leads to my present self."
