STORYLINE:
Longtime Donald Trump ally Steve Bannon arrived at court Tuesday for a pretrial hearing in his New York criminal case.
Bannon is accused of defrauding donors who gave money to build a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.
Bannon has pleaded not guilty to money laundering, conspiracy, fraud and other charges.
The trial is scheduled to begin early next month.
Bannon briefly stopped to speak to reporters on Tuesday as he arrived to court.
"The American people rendered a verdict," Bannon said referring to the U.S. election.
