(asked if he regrets his decison to play for Germany DFB and not for England FA)
"I think for the decision to play for the DFB, that was…I’m not worried about it. I think my decision was also that no matter what decision I make, I don’t look back. That’s why I’m happy with how everything has gone now.”
3. 00:41 SOUNDBITE (German) Jamal Musiala, Germany midfielder:
(asked what’s possible with Germany in the future)
"We feel positive as a team and I think that even if the Euros perhaps didn’t go as perfectly as we all wanted, we can see what opportunities there are with the team. And we now have two years or a year and a half until the World Cup, where we can simply take steps forward, play games that we want to win and then simply take everything we’ve learned from the two tournaments and hopefully play a good World Cup.”
4. 01:24 SOUNDBITE (German) Jamal Musiala, Germany midfielder:
(asked if he can announce his contract extension at FC Bayern Munich before Christmas or what his plans for the future are)
"I don’t think I can say much about the contract story right now. I think my focus now is the two DFB games and just finishing the first half of the season well, just stepping on the gas, winning games and then we’ll see what happens.”

STORYLINE:
21-year-old midfielder Jamal Musiala is ‘happy’ with his choice to play for German national team, he said ahead of the upcoming Nations League games against Bosnia & Herzgovina in Freiburg next Saturday and against Hungary in Budapest.
Born in Stuttgart, Musiala moved to England at the age of 7 and represent the Three Lions at U15, U16, U17, and U21 levels.
‘I think for the decision to play for the DFB… I’m not worried about it. I think my decision was also that no matter what decision I make, I don’t look back’ – said Musiala.
Germany star is emerging as Bayern Munich’s most important player this season and the club hope that he will stay for the long term. Musiala’s contract with the Bavarian powerhouse is up at the end of the 2025-26 season.
