"The walkway can carry around 130 people at a time. It was created to allow people to get closer to the work of art, but it is also to see a bit of the flow (of tourists) and to break up, a bit, the way in which the flow (of tourists) passes in front of the Trevi Fountain. Its base is 90 square meters, and will allow people to see the work of art up close and in a calmer way."

"Above all, it is to regulate the flow of visitors so that it is possible to admire the details of the entire monument that otherwise, in the midst of masses of crowds, one can only take the usual photograph that is then taken away as a memory (of the visit), but does not really allow for the appreciation of the work of art."

"It is a monument that is also delicate and we now are removing all the visible damage like dark spots and the yellow areas that you can see forming on the limestone. We are also allowing people to see for a brief period the harmony that existed after the restoration work (of 2014). These works of art, all of them, need constant maintenance, we have done it, but this is now an opportunity to do it more fully."
