"With the world’s attention on the United States, this visit demonstrates Europe’s strength and confidence. My colleague (Annalena Baerbock) assured me that Germany’s support remains and will remain strong and steadfast, because it is not only about Ukraine, it is about the security of Europe and every European, so we appreciate it very much."

6. SOUNDBITE (Ukrainian), Andrii Sybiha, Ukrainian foreign minister:
"According to our estimates, Germany is currently second only to the United States in the amount of aid we receive from our closest ally, Germany. It has already been said today that this aid has direct consequences for strengthening the defense capabilities of our soldiers already now, for the protection of civil infrastructure, because in recent days Russia has sharply increased missile terror directed specifically at energy facilities before winter."

9. SOUNDBITE (Ukrainian), Andrii Sybiha, Ukrainian foreign minister:
"We are also confident in the support of the United States, and after the election, we will build a close alliance with the president chosen by the American people. We are confident in the bipartisan support of the United States of America, as well as the support of the people. After all, this war is not only about Ukraine, but about the restoration of the world order built on the norms of international law and the principles of the UN Charter."

11. SOUNDBITE (Ukrainian), Andrii Sybiha, Ukrainian foreign minister:
"We separately discussed the need for decisive action in response to Russia’s involvement of regular North Korean troops in the war against Ukraine. We call on Europe to realize that North Korean troops are now waging an aggressive war in Europe against a sovereign European state. This once again proves that while the West is afraid of escalation and hesitates, Russia acts and escalates. You can’t beg Russia for peace, you can only force it to peace, the steps to this are clear – support the victory plan and remove all restrictions to protect life from terror."

13. SOUNDBITE (Ukrainian), Andrii Sybiha, Ukrainian foreign minister:
"What remains a fundamental priority is additional means of air defense to protect our main cities, to protect nuclear facilities on the territory of Ukraine. Again, we have evidence that Russia was preparing and is preparing strikes on Ukraine’s nuclear infrastructure. Therefore, we must protect them on the one hand, and the world must react sharply and firmly to prevent this from happening."
