"This year, the visitors will enjoy the journey at the Peter and Paul Fortress accompanied by the symphony of light and music. There are many differences this year, one of which is that we shifted the emphasis. We used to have Naryshkin Bastion as one of the main display points, now it will be the Sobornaya Square. We have added new installations, improved the video, and created new mapping. The main theme remains unchanged, it’s St. Petersburg, its achievements and the Day of Unity."

"In general, if we talk about the festival, then it is very technological. At the moment, there are more than 1,000 meters of lighting at Peter and Paul fortress and all this was possible only thanks to the equipment that is here. These are more than 100 projectors, more than a hundred colour devices."

"We tried to combine music, light, and architecture using different technologies: neural networks, something from painting, from architecture, from music."

STORYLINE:
LEADIN:
Historic buildings in St. Petersburg have been illuminated in a dazzling light show.
The displays chart the city’s history.
STORYLINE:
A hypnotic sequence of lights flashes across the Naryshkin Bastion at the Peter and Paul Fortress.
A thumping soundtrack booms out, in perfect synchronisation with the illuminations.
This is one of 15 installations to take over the historic St. Petersburg site.

The St. Petersburg’s Mint building has become a canvas for 3D mapping.
Hundreds of projectors and colour devices have been used for the show.
St Peter’s Gate is transformed into a giant clock tower.
