STORYLINE:
With the U.S. election just days away residents in countries across Latin America have shared their views on who they would like to win the vote.
Whoever becomes President following the vote on November 5 will have an impact shaping global policy.
"For the mental health of Mexicans it is better that Kamala wins. Not Trump," Mexico city resident, Marco Antonio Cardenas, said when questioned about the vote.
His opinion on Harris winning was shared by Rio de Janeiro resident, Maria Luíza.
“I think that Kamala would be the best option between the two," she said.
"I think that she ends up representing women’s rights, minorities, the LGBT population, and Trump ends up bringing in the far-right.”
Meanwhile, in Venezuela, Caracas local Sergio Affigne said he wanted Trump to win.
"I would like for Trump to win because he has already had a previous government with a lot of results at a global level."
In the Argentine capital, Federico López said he felt both candidates would "strengthen" the government of Argentine president Javier Milei and beyond.
"Both need the lithium that Argentina and Latin America have quite a bit of," he said.
"They both need the gas and oil from Vaca Muerta (shale formation) and will strengthen the Milei government or whoever comes after him."
