Former US president and Republican candidate Donald Trump has won the US presidential election. The Associated Press called Trump’s victory after he edged past Kamala Harris in the key battleground state of Wisconsin, putting him past the threshold 270 electoral votes.
Earlier, Trump addressed supporters in Florida, promising a new “golden age” for America. He called on the country to unite and said he would “put America first.” Trump also hailed the Republican Party’s success in the Senate, where it gained a majority.
